MSL Partners with UMES 4-H STEM to Empower Students

The Math, Science, and Leadership (MSL) Program of Maryland is excited to announce a groundbreaking partnership with UMES 4-H STEM. This collaboration is set to provide significant benefits to MSL students, enhancing their learning experience and equipping them with the skills and resources necessary to excel in academics, leadership, and personal development.

A Shared Vision for Positive Youth Development

The partnership unites MSL’s dedication to cultivating young leaders with UMES 4-H STEM’s mission of fostering positive youth development. This collaboration will help over 150 MSL students access new resources, develop hands-on skills, and unlock their full potential.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, MSL Program Director Mohamed Salih shared his excitement, saying:

We are so glad to begin this powerful partnership with 4-H Extension. Together, we’re going to let these kids soar to new heights.

Likewise, Ariel Clay, 4-H Youth Development STEM Specialist, emphasized the alignment of both programs, stating:

The mission of 4-H is to provide positive youth development, creating opportunities and resources to help young people thrive. MSL perfectly embodies this mission, and we’re thrilled to contribute to its incredible work.

What This Partnership Brings

Under this collaboration, students will gain access to:

Lunch and Stationery Supplies for uninterrupted learning.

Leadership Opportunities, including invitations to national-level 4-H conferences.

Chromebooks and Technology to enhance classroom interactions.

Mentor Stipends, ensuring recognition for MSL’s dedicated mentors.

Training Programs, offering teachers and mentors strategies to engage students effectively.

This collaboration will strengthen the resources available to our students and allow them to reach new milestones
